Charlotte Street Planning Permission

After acquiring 61, 63 and 65 Charlotte Street, W1 in April 2014, Merchant Land underwent an extensive pre application to develop the now consented mixed use scheme comprising 6 x residential flats, circa 8,000sqf of commercial space and retaining two existing retail units at ground floor level.

Throughout this process Merchant Land engaged with HardHat Communications to facilitate liaison with community groups such as the Fitzrovia Bid Partnership and Bloomsbury Conservation Area Advisory Committee.  This resulted in a number of community engagement evenings and meetings with Merchant Land and the wider consultant team to discuss different ways design elements could be incorporated to be sympathetic to the existing building whilst developing a commercially viable and aesthetically attractive scheme that would bring life to this section of Charlotte Street.

Merchant Land are delighted to have achieved planning permission from Camden Council on 28th July and wish to thank the wider consultant team and any third parties engaged to deliver what we believe will be a fantastic addition to Charlotte Street.
