Sculpture in the City at 33 Creechurch Lane

We are delighted to announce that Merchant Land are Project Patrons in conjunction with the City of London for the 12th edition of Sculpture in the City.

This summer, Sculpture in the City will bring together 17 artists from 10 countries whose artworks will be placed amongst the striking urban landscape that makes up the City of London’s Square Mile. The annual exhibition continues to bring international artworks to the Square Mile with thought provoking artworks that invites viewers to use their imagination to create new forms and different realms of experience.

33 Creechurch Lane will be hosting a stunning piece by Arturo Herrera. Arturo Herrera’s wall works have been shown widely throughout the United States and Europe. He has had installations at The Tate Modern and the Bloomberg Headquarters in London, and most recently an outdoor work at The Bass Museum of Art, Miami in 2020. He has also shown at P.S.1 Contemporary Art Centre, ArtPace in San Antonio, the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Renaissance Society at The University of Chicago, Centre d’Art Contemporain in Geneva, Zeno X in Antwerp, the Instanbul Biennal, and at the Kunst-Station at Hauptbanhof Wolfsburg, Germany.

The Installation of the artwork is due to happen by the middle of June and the exhibition will be open to the public from the 27th of June 2023. More details can be found here.
