Green Horizon Perspectives Summit

We were pleased to have attended the inaugural Green Horizon Perspectives event earlier this month in what has been an incredibly busy and exciting few weeks for the global climate and green finance agenda.

The event featured a keynote speech from Mark Carney (UN Special Envoy for Climate Action and Finance and Prime Minister Johnson’s Finance Adviser for COP26) who reflected on the significant ground made over the last year by the public and private sectors to ensure every financial decision takes climate change into account. This was followed by a panel discussion with banking leaders who discussed and debated the urgent need for commitments to be made and action given the fundamental role of the financial sector in transitioning to a net zero future.

The event also included a special message from the RT. Hon. The Lord Mayor, William Russell, who re-iterated the city of London’s commitment to tackling climate change.

At Merchant Land, we are currently working on our Interim Sustainability statement and will be sharing this on all of our platforms in the next month ahead of our formal Sustainability Policy which we will release later this year.
