Promoting Public Realm in Aldgate
Katherine McCullough, Head of UK Property at Merchant Land has taken the position of co-chair alongside Eco Zhang from local architects Perkins & Will on the Aldgate Connect BID Public Realm Steering Group.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to support Aldgate and the local community as it builds back from COVID and looks to the future and I look forward to working with all the members in the group,” Katherine said.
The group is made up of a diverse range of public and private sector individuals along with local residents based in Aldgate. There are a number of exciting projects on the horizon which include:
• Improving cycling and pedestrian experiences around Aldgate
• Supporting public realm work around Petticoat Lane and Middlesex Street
• City Benches competition in conjunction with the London Festival of Architecture (LFA)
