Creechurch Lane takes the spotlight for Sculpture in the City
It is fantastic to once again be involved in London’s brilliant Sculpture in the City programme, with a beautiful artwork taking pride of place at our Creechurch Lane building.
Untitled by Arto Herrera has been in situ since late July and we were thrilled to be able to support the Little Art Critics TV. The films are fantastic and are available to watch on the Sculpture in the City website.
This year, the Young Film Academy gave children between 5 and 12 the chance to get in front of the camera, giving their live unfiltered reactions to the artworks. The mini art critics were then directed and filmed by professionals from Young Film Academy.
This year’s Sculpture in the City features a diverse mix of 17 sculptures created by well-known and emerging artists, transforming the city’s public spaces.
Katherine McCullough said: “We’re pleased to be able to host Sculpture in the City at Creechurch Lane – it is one of our favourite events. We’re really proud to support London’s creative community, both via Sculpture in the City and our continuing pop-up series at Charlotte Street, offering artists space to display their fantastic pieces. EC BID and LACUNA do a great job putting this event together; it brings an amazing energy to the area.”
