A Sculpture in the City arrives at 33 Creechurch Lane
A new sculpture has been installed at 33 Creechurch lane as part of the City of London’s sculpture in the City project.
The artwork installed on Heneage Lane is a Sari Garden by Clare Jarrett. The artwork consists of sari-like lengths, sewn together, hanging from a beam stretching the length of Heneage Lane and supported by its lamp posts. The line of bright fabric is free to move in the air.
Sculpture in the City is an award winning urban sculpture park delivered by the City of London. The project has been growing year on year, since its launch in June 2011, showcasing 79 artworks over the last seven years (66 artists from 22 countries) and has had an estimated 421,500 visits in the last 11 months.
